windows 7 restored gateway E4100 MOBO: INTEL D865GLC

3. Audio driver issue SoundMax 5.12.01.5240 error: this operation system is not supported by this software. Most of the downloaded driver from gateway, compaq, all give same results, which is no supported for windows 7.
Solution: managed to get a old fo;der in c:\cabs named as soundmax5240, its auto installation program still give this error code saying no windows 7 supported, but manual installed from device manager from C:\cabs\Soundmax5240\smaxwdm\w2k_xp got audio back.
4. install necessary program & windows 7 updates.

6. setup restore point and backup to external HDD.
